Easy Christmas Cookie Sticks

I just made these cookies. So easy, delicious and pretty. Very confused by negative comments, because I am just an OK baker and these were perfect! Thanks for the recipe!


Easy Christmas Cookie Sticks

Ingredients
Dough
1 cup butter, very soft (almost melted)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract (or use more vanilla)
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup mini chocolate chips
Topping
1/3 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup dark or milk chocolate chips
Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Cover dough and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle shape that is about 1/4" thick. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips that are about 1" by 4".

Eggroll in a Bowl

I’ve made this twice and both my husband and I really like it! I like the low-carb factor but there’s still plenty of flavor to satisfy the tastebuds! We think it’s rather ‘filling’ too! One question tho ~ ginger is not listed in the ingredient list but in the recipe it is. Do you use ginger root or powdered ginger and how much? Thank you!


Eggroll in a Bowl

This dinner recipe features ground pork, cole slaw mix, and seasonings to create a low carb egg roll served in bowls.

Ingredients
1 lb ground sausage
1 bag dry coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
sliced green onion

Instructions

  1. In a large, deep skillet, brown sausage. Meanwhile in a small bowl, combine garlic, soy sauce, and ginger; set aside.
  2. Once sausage is cooked through, add dry coleslaw mix to skillet and stir to combine.
